Captain America, as Steve Rogers, and Sharon Carter take a stroll in Central Park Zoo at the same time that the Thing and Wundarr decide to take a trip there. Wundarr, with the mind of a child, frees the zoo animals. Thing rounds up the animals and Namorita shows up, telling Thing that she'll tutor and mentor Wundarr.

Leaving Wundarr in capable hands, Captain America, Sharon Carter and the Thing go to the Baxter Building and find that Reed Richards is toying with Dr. Doom's time machine, which inadvertently brings a woman named Tarin from a very troubled future. Captain America, Thing, Tarin and Sharon Carter join together and travel in the future to assist Tarin in her worldly plight.
